Everybody wants great-looking skin. Whether your concern is aging, acne, or just the dullness that comes from being tired and dehydrated. Sometimes it can feel like getting the skin you want is an impossible project. However, did you know that many people use a far infrared sauna to help get a great complexion?
Most people who aren’t happy with their skin are worried about one of two things: acne, and wrinkles. The good news is that treating your skin with an infrared sauna can fight both problems at the same time! If this sounds too good to be true, review the basics of good skin care:
Your skin puts up with a lot during the day. From pollution, to ultraviolet rays, to makeup and sunscreen, by the time you’re ready for bed, odds are you’re carrying around a layer of gunk that isn’t going to do your skin any favors. Take the time every evening to cleanse your skin. Our recommendation is to avoid anything highly-sensitive or harsh, in favor of the gentlest, moisture-preserving cleanser that works for your skin. Everyone’s skin is different, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
Sweating opens your pores, which allows you to both clean the grime trapped inside and to allow moisturizers and serums to penetrate deeply. But remember: you don’t want to get makeup, bacteria, or dirt into open pores. If you indulge regularly in sauna sessions, your skin will thank you if you take a lukewarm shower both before and after your session to remove any foreign substances.
Did you know that one reason acne can occur is a lack of moisture? Most people worry about “drying up” their oily skin, when skin can instead over-produce oil when it’s dehydrated. Always finish your skincare session with a gentle, unscented moisturizer, and don’t forget to use lip balm and a rich hand cream.
Ultimately, good skin comes from taking care of yourself from the inside out. In addition to a simple cleansing, moisturizing, and sweating routine, be sure that you’re eating a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats, getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, and getting regular exercise. Remember, the first step to great skin is being kind to your complexion. You are already beautiful, so why not treat yourself well?
