Whether you’ve purchased an infrared sauna or you’re thinking about getting one, you probably know that one of their many benefits is being low maintenance. There are only a few things you should do to make sure that your sauna is staying clean.
An infrared sauna won’t require the scrubbing or deep cleaning needed in your bathroom there’s no water involved. One of the better ways to keep your sauna clean is to have a sauna cushion handy. Having a well-made sauna cushion to put on your bench is ideal because it protects it from sweat stains and makes the bench nice and soft to sit on. Most of the cushions available today are also machine-washable for added convenience.
It helps to put a towel over the sauna cushion before using it, so that the towel absorbs the majority of the sweat.. If you don’t have a cushion, you can substitute by folding a few towels, but a cushion will always be the most comfortable.
You should put a towel over the floor heater so that any dirt from your feet won’t get on it. The towel will also catch sweat. When you’re done with your session, be sure to remove any towels you used, so that no moisture will build up. Many models also offer protective floor mats which are great for frequent use. When you finish your session, you should start the oxygen ionizer with the door of the sauna closed. Let the ionizer run for a while so that your sauna will be adequately cleaned.
Do all these things every time you use your infrared sauna, and you’ll have a sanitary experience as well as a pleasurable one. You want to get the most out of your sauna, and keeping it clean will make sure you can enjoy the benefits in comfort.
